Three generations of women cross the distance from Kazakhstan to Poland, not only to search for physical remains but also to restore the lost connection between themselves. They reach another level of intimacy for the first time, uncovering post-sovietic traumas, searching for the feeling of home and lost identity.
When her father and uncles die, Jone (Josemi's daughter) decides to make a documentary about the Ibarretxe Brothers. Pioneers in the Basque audiovisual sector, creative, cheeky and always up to something, they were devoted to cinema made in Euskadi long before it was a reAlity. Analysing their films and talking to people who accompanied them (Stephen Fry, Echanove, Ramon Barea, Santiago Segura, José Luis Rebordinos), Jone gradually comes to reAlise that their cinema is nothing more than a faithful reflection of their own selves.
A sister arrives at her family home for the holidays and walks into a very messy kitchen and an undecorated Christmas tree. She receives a text message from her mother asking her to decorate the tree with her brother before their parents arrive the next day. She goes to find her brother in the house only to walk in on her assumed-straight brother watching gay porn. Both siblings now embarrassed, dance around the issue over margaritas in the pool and then over board games avoiding the implications of the topic and the tree decorating. They end up having a hilarious and heartfelt conversation over the importance and even unimportance of self-identifying ones own sexuAlity and even gender over a blunt and more margaritas, which escalates into a game of dress up, missing a text that mom and dad will be walking in on their gender-bending fashion show any moment.

Woman, life, freedom! After the death of a young Iranian woman in Teheran, thousands take to the streets – in Germany too. Portrait of a protest which brought different generations together. On 13th September 2022, Jina Mahsa Amini was arrested by the Iranian vice squad because she was wearing her headscarf wrongly. Three days later, she died in custody. Her death set off a howl of protest all over the world. Many exiled Iranians, who fled the new regime in Tehran in the 1970s, protested – but also 2nd generation German-Iranians like Jasmin Shakeri, Pegah Ferydoni, NatAlie Amiri and Enissa Amani. Together they took to the streets to help the old country find freedom.
