In Night TrawLer we drag the nets through the dark caverns of our sub-conscious, diving into the world of dreams, entering gateways and discovering (un)related found images. Our minds constantly jump from one thought to another with no apparent logic as we attempt to assemble and interpret these disparate pieces.

Our film is about the life story and wrestling adventures of Başpehlivan İsmail Balaban, the World Shalwar Wrestling Championship World Champion and Survivor 2021 champion, who won the gold belt in Kırkpınar wrestling, and his twin brother Başpehlivan Turan Balaban. We see the success story of twin brothers who emerged from the struggle. Our documentary introduces the audience to oil wrestling, which is our traditional culture, as opposed to western culture sports. While doing this, the sound of drums from our traditional culture is accompanied in some places, and western style music in others. Together with our chief wrestLers, we aim to endear our traditional culture to the audience and the next generation. Some parts of our documentary include the wrestling matches of BaşwrestLers İsmail Balaban and Turan Balaban. The wrestLers' lubrication before the competition and their walks are featured in our film.
Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu has left his mark on history as a multifaceted figure, known both for his ability to balance family life with his artistic career and for the successful students he nurtured, who made significant contributions to Turkish art. By blending his devotion to Anatolian folklore with aesthetics and channeling this into poetry, he brought a fresh perspective to Turkish cultural life. He meticulously documented his unique artistic vision and outlook on life through his own films. For this documentary, we carefully distilled and compiled 8.5 hours of vibrant 8mm footage that offers a first-hand glimpse into how a significant figure like Bedri Rahmi viewed life and art. The documentary is enriched by the memories of friends, students, and family members, and was edited using these visual archives. It is further brought to life through interviews with esteemed figures such as Ara GüLer, Cengiz Bektaş, and Devrim Erbil, gaining additional depth through the personal experiences of his family members.
DérailLer is an experimental short film of approximately 3 minutes that mixes animation techniques and live action. The entire production was done on the train, round trip, between Toronto and Vancouver.

In 1960 a young Irish woman named Edna O'Brien wrote a sexually frank debut novel, The Country Girls. She became a literary sensation, writing for The New Yorker, delivering provocative interviews, and authoring screenplays. Her success enraged her writer husband and made her a pariah in her native Ireland, where her books were banned and burned. She would make her home in London, where she conducted numerous love affairs, hosted star-studded parties, and made and lost a fortune. In July 2024, Edna passed away and this film provides a final testimony from her, aged 93, as she reflects upon her extraordinary life for filmmaker Sinéad O'Shea's camera. Granting the director access to her personal journals - read aloud in the film by the Oscar-nominated Irish actress Jessie Buckley - and with additional perspectives offered from Gabriel Byrne, Walter Mosley and an array of renowned writers, Edna does not shy from any subject. Blue Road is as candid, dark, and enchanting as O'Brien's wonderful novels.
