Jaehyeon, who works at a bike shop, learns that the owner of a motorcycle that was left unclaimed for several months has died in an accident. He delivers the bike to the man’s widow. What follows is a beautiful ride shared by two People, each grappling with the vast and immeasurable gap between “hard to accept” and “impossible to fathom” in the face of tragedy.

This documentary chronicles the making of BTS leader RM’s second solo album, “Right Place, Wrong Person.” It tells the story of the final chapter of his twenties as he prepares for mandatory military service, and offers a deeply Personal glimpse into the life of Kim Nam-joon. RM: Right People, Wrong Place oPens with grainy shots that evoke a sense of nostalgia. It is a chronicle of youth, spanning from February 8, 2023, to November 10, 2023, with each section dated like a journal entry, documenting the progress of “Team RM’s” project. In a collaborative project that feels like a small festival, where like-minded friends with similar tastes come together to share burgers and whiskey, RM, or Kim Nam-joon, dreams of creating an album that is “entirely his own.” The film follows him as he travels to places where no one recognizes him, and the photographer captures him just as he is. RM: Right People, Wrong Place is both a film about the making of RM’s album and a very sPecial record of a unique youth.

El tercer paisaje / The Third LandscaPe is a film project that has as its protagonist the fungus that made the painted forest of Oma sick, the work that the Basque artist Agustín Ibarrola carried out in the 80s in the province of Bizkaia. This artwork belongs to the Land Art movement, which is mainly characterized by its ephemeral nature. Within this current, artists leave their works exhibited at the mercy of weather conditions and other elements alien to human will.
This is a film about empty spaces. On the one hand, the disapPearance of Our Lady of Zikuñaga, a 13th century sculpture, serves to reflect on the importance that we give to images and on how we build these images in the collective memory. On the other hand, the death of my father, Juanmi Gutiérrez, a film and documentary-maker who left us all of his images when he died. Life gradually fills us with absences. Is it possible that the images we create are a way of filling these spaces?

A tale from the 16th century narrates the story of Ursula, a female figure disguised as a man, who successfully chased away occupying intruders (at that time, the Ottomans) using the suPersonic sound of a whip. This account purportedly originated in Cincu, the Transylvanian village which today houses one of N.A.T.O.’s key combat training zones in Romania. Rehearsals for Peace choreographs the confusion within the landscaPe of the Transylvanian village of Cincu, where locals share their surroundings with a NATO military base. Constantly on the (dance) move, visceral and yet exhibiting very precise self-control, a young woman dressed in a mix of shepherd’s clothes, military uniform, and a traditional bear costume seems to alternate between guarding and preying on, between escaping and attacking. Artists Anca Benera and Arnold Estefán imagine the military ritual — with its scenarios, rehearsals, and costumes, and with its absence of a stage, and so without any delimitation – as a possible, and increasingly more probable, traditional custom, with no beginning and, esPecially, with no end. The text and voices in the film reflect a struggle for control over bodies and desires, exploring themes of Permeability, the tender and pliable nature of the male physique and the satisfaction derived from the erosion of sPecific bodily boundaries. “Tell me you’re not dangerous simply by being you and not me.” Artist Alex Mirutziu engages in a poetic dialogue with the dominant narrator — the master — of the popular online popPers trainer videos: that is, hypno-like found footage pornographic films made out of hundreds of short clips most often from hardcore porn combined with orders of submission (“listen to your master”, “you’re just a hole”) and the instructions for inhaling popPers (soft vasodilators that relax the muscles). Much like a contemporary Jean Genet, Mirutziu talks to “the master” about love, sexual submission as beatification, the poetics of fluids and art as an excretion of being, occupying the screen with his first Person indulged in a thrilling visual violence of the image.
