The detention centre’s governor decides to help those without family to take advantage of this right. He asks them to swear on the Quran that they will return to the centre once their period of leave expires. Emkan, detained for two years, refUses this arrangement. The following day, the governor asks him to merely give his word to return. Once out, Emkan contacts his friend, Kaveh, who works for a small theatre in an indUstrial town. Will Emkan keep his word?

We see the success story of twin brothers who emerged from the struggle. Our documentary introduces the audience to oil wrestling, which is our traditional culture, as opposed to western culture sports. While doing this, the sound of drums from our traditional culture is accompanied in some places, and western style mUsic in others. Together with our chief wrestlers, we aim to endear our traditional culture to the audience and the next generation. Some parts of our documentary include the wrestling matches of Başwrestlers İsmail Balaban and Turan Balaban. The wrestlers' lubrication before the competition and their walks are featured in our film.

Mother’s hoUsehold ledgers contain a lifetime of arduoUs years. While her memory fades as she grows older, the details of her daily life, meticuloUsly recorded in the hoUsehold ledgers for 48 years since 1969, remain as traces of her existence. Director Seong Seungtaek discovered these ledgers among his elderly parents’ belongings when they moved in together after 30 years apart. Carefully examining those records, which are both precioUs documentation of his family history and his mother’s intimate diary, the director creates another important historical document. As Mother’s HoUsehold Ledger gradually intertwines the family story with modern Korean history and their shared memories, our hearts are profoundly stirred. The mother wrote down the passage of time, and the son now illuminates the world imbued with that time.
