Jenny (Emma Nova) is unwantedly pregnant by her boyfriend Bolle (Paul Wollin). After 26-year-old Sumi suffers an accident on the streets of wintry Winnipeg, her overbearing mother Sara flies in from Seoul to be by her now comatose daughter's side. As Sara meddles in Sumi's life via a dating app, she ends up on a journey that will leave her forever changed.

Pioneers in the Basque audiovisual sector, creative, cheeky and always up to something, they were devoted to cinema made in Euskadi long before it was a reality. Analysing their films and talking to people who accompanied them (Stephen Fry, Echanove, Ramon Barea, Santiago Segura, José Luis Rebordinos), Jone gradually comes to realise that their cinema is nothing more than a faithful reflection of their own selves.
A Dying Leaf Should Be Able to Carry the Weight of the World is a visit to the botanical garden and museum in Cluj-Napoca, a journey through time and space, a discovery of plants with unknown stories, of plants that don’t exist anymore, of plants that can tell us as much about the past as they can about the future. Fossils, herbs and botanical illustrations are witnesses of the past, proof of evolution and change, but also prophets of what is yet to come. A visit at a botanical museum in Cluj, 2023; a close look through a tourist booklet about the same museum, published in 1979. In Thea Lazăr’s film, the voiceover animates an open essay, a mix of poetry and theory, about, on the one hand, the power of botanical conservation as a science, and, on the other, the ideological limits of museum practices: the violence of knowledge. Lazăr exalts the image of plants, the magical understanding of them, as a self-existing landscape, and not as a mere backdrop for human civilization. The film’s climax bears fruit to that thought when the images of the greenhouse turn abstract, melting into 3D animations of a wild landscape: the revenge of the moving image against the culturally fixed one. "Somehow, I was always afraid to go to Japan." — Hyejeong returns to her hometown in South Korea to attend the 'Jecheon Righteous Army Festival' after a long time away. Every October, the town holds a memorial service to honour the ancestors who resisted the Japanese invasion 100 years ago. She shares the stories of the loud cry that was heard on the same day years ago and the last tiger — a symbol of strength and power in Asia — that was hunted down during the colonisation. Through a collage of photo postcards from that era, that were often staged in a studio, she questions how the invaded Woman's body became the image of the colony. What mechanisms are used to rationalise colonial rule? The colonial matrix, however, was shifted through South Korean soldiers hunting Vietnamese tigers and raping Women during the Vietnam War. Hyejeong shares the story of how she accidentally arrived in Japan alone and met a Woman at a restaurant near Karasuma Station, where the tWo shared a meal together.

Later, the tWo sisters married him as well.

2.0分 Ryan Murphy dropped a teaser for a new series titled Grotesquerie in an Instagram post (see it below) on Friday. According to the post, it will star Niecy Nash-Betts — who has Worked with Murphy several times before and is coming off an Emmy win for Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story — Courtney B. Vance and Lesley Manville and is set to premiere in the fall. The teaser features Nash-Betts’ voice, sounding very disturbed about a crime scene: “I don’t know when it started. I can’t put my finger on it. But it’s different now. There’s been a shift. It’s like something’s opening up in the World — a kind of hole to the center of nothingness. What I saw today — they sent shrinks for everyone who Worked this crime scene. You think, ‘Well hon, evil has always existed,’ and cite some statistic about how the World’s getting better, less murder, more help, less global horror, never been a better time to be alive, honey.” Her voice cracking, Nash-Betts (or rather, her character) concludes by saying, “Come back. It’s not getting better. And I keep needing to hear your answers, because something’s happening around us, and nobody sees but me.”

A person travels to her birthplace, searching for her lost home/roots. She meets peoplehouses, hybrids who come to life before her eyes and, swallowing her, pull her into their "circle dance". After the trip, the person returns to the city and inhabits various spaces. As she relaxes with her cats, she has a transformative experience, resulting in her becoming a Womanhouse, i.e. she becomes her own home.
